The Sheila Birkenhead Bursary

The Sheila Birkenhead Bursary is awarded to postgraduate students giving papers at conferences on Romantic Studies in the UK. Sheila Birkenhead was a past Chairman of KSMA and the author of books on Keats and Joseph Severn. 

Applicants must be full-time Postgraduate students of English Literature at any UK university and full-time residents in the UK.

Applications can be made at any time.

Please submit:

  • CV including contact details of two referees
  • Information on the conference where the paper is to be delivered
  • An abstract of the paper
  • A summary of expenses that will be incurred
